American Cosmetic Manufacturers Association - ACMA
The American Cosmetic Manufacturers Association "ACMA" is a non-profit trade association of cosmetic manufacturers and distributors located in the heart of Washington D.C.
ACMA is widely regarded by American and international stakeholders as a leader in the cosmetic trade industry.
Our members include brand owners, manufacturers, distributors, ingredient suppliers and retailers supplying the American market.
ACMA works on members' behalf to address regulatory authorities regarding cosmetic industry issues and keeps them fully informed on the practical application of the EU Cosmetic Regulation and any future changes ahead of when they occur.
ACMA Membership
ACMA Membership is free. Membership gives access to our online program which leads members to obtain certificates for U.S. made products based upon their credentials. For this purpose, ACMA has developed a self-help program which allows companies to create their own certificates for export. The program focuses on the most requested export certificates:
- Certificate of Free Sale (CFS)
- Good Manufacturing Certificate (GMP)
- Bovine Free Certificate (BSE)
- Transmissible Free Certificate (TSE)
All ACMA certificates are issued and apostilled or authenticated based upon the destination country. The price to obtain a certificate with an Apostille for any Hague convention participating country is $150.00.The price is slightly higher for certificates destined for non participating countries.
